Pediatric Chiropractor in Sarasota
Kids’ spines take more hits than you’d think.
Gentle, age-appropriate care for babies, kids, and teens.

Why kids get checked too
Think about what a child’s spine goes through: the birth process, learning to crawl and walk, hundreds of falls, heavy backpacks, sports, and hours looking down at a phone. Kids bounce back fast, but their spines still take the load.
Kids can’t always tell you what’s wrong. Sometimes it shows up as a baby who only turns their head one way, a toddler who’s always tripping, or a teenager with headaches and a slouch that’s getting worse.
Care for kids looks nothing like care for adults. The pressure we use on an infant is about what you’d use to check a ripe tomato. Most kids think it’s fun.
does this Sound familiar?
- A baby who prefers turning their head to one side
- Frequent falls, or a kid who plays hard every day
- A teen with headaches, neck pain, or text-neck posture
- Young athletes playing year-round
How we find the cause: Alignment, movement, spinal Damage
Every new patient gets the same thorough starting point. We test your spine three ways:
Alignment
Posture checks, balance scales, and eyes-closed stability testing to see how your body is carrying itself.
movement
Range of motion through your whole spine, plus how each segment moves on its own.
spinal Damage
Full-spine digital X-rays can show disc changes, arthritis, bone spurs, or old injuries that may have created a stress pattern.
For kids, the exam is gentle and age-appropriate. We only take X-rays when the exam gives us a clear reason to.
From the side, your spine should have smooth, healthy curves. We measure yours and chart it against normal:
MildUp to 15% loss of curve
Moderate15–30% loss of curve
SevereMore than 30% loss of curve
Your PostureRay X-Ray Report shows you exactly where you stand, and we re-measure along the way so you can see progress, not just feel it.
How we help kids and teens
Depending on your child’s age and exam, care may include:
Corrective Chiropractic Care
Gentle, specific adjustments sized to your child, often with no cracking at all. Older kids get simple at-home spinal hygiene exercises, and we have pediatric orthotics when needed.
NeuFit (nervous system + fitness)
For teen athletes, the Neubie helps build strength and recover from sports injuries.

What to expect
Feeling better and being fully better aren’t the same thing. Most people notice changes early on. Truly stabilizing a spine that’s been out of alignment for years can take up to 6-12 months of consistency… That doesn’t mean 6-12 months to feel better, it just means that your body needs time to hold the correction so it doesn’t slide back.
Will it hurt? Changing a spine that hasn’t moved in years can feel like a workout at the beginning. If you feel it, it’s usually in the first couple of weeks, and we adapt our technique to what works best for you.
