What to Expect at Your First Visit
New to chiropractic? Here’s exactly what happens, so there are no surprises.
I was nervous before my first adjustment too, after injuries ended my college baseball career. Your first visit takes about 20 minutes, or 35 if you fill out your forms in the office.
Before you come in
- Fill out your new patient forms online, or arrive 15 minutes early to fill them out here
- Wear comfortable clothes you can move in
- Bring a photo ID and any recent imaging reports (X-ray, MRI)
- Plan on about 20 minutes, or 35 if you fill out your forms in the office
Day 1: Consultation, exam & X-rays
- Consultation. We sit down and talk about what’s going on, what you’ve tried, and what you want to get back to.
- Spine & nerve exam. We look at your posture, how your spine moves, the position and condition of your vertebrae, and your nerve function.
- Digital X-rays, if necessary. We take them in-house, so there’s no extra trip.
- Your first adjustment, when your exam shows it’s appropriate.
Day 2: Your report & plan
We walk through your X-rays and exam findings in plain English. Then we recommend a care schedule built around your goals, plus home exercises and lifestyle tips.
You’ll know what we found, what we recommend, how long it should take, and what it costs before you commit to anything.
