Sports Injury Recovery in Sarasota
Most sports injuries aren’t bad luck.
For high school, college, and adult athletes who want to get back on the field and stay there.

Why athletes break down
Sports injuries get framed as bad luck: a wrong step, a collision, an overuse injury out of nowhere. But many injuries, especially the chronic and recurring kind, are the predictable result of competing with an uncorrected structural problem.
When the spine is misaligned, the body compensates. Muscles fire unevenly, joint mechanics change, and athletes end up overloading tissues that weren’t designed to carry that load.
We work with athletes from high school through adult competitive levels, with a particular focus on baseball. It’s a sport that creates a lot of rotational asymmetry, and spinal alignment plays a big role in both injury prevention and throwing mechanics.
does this Sound familiar?
- The same injury keeps coming back
- One side is noticeably tighter or weaker than the other
- You play through pain more often than you admit
- You want to return to your sport without losing a season
How we find the cause: Alignment, movement, spinal Damage
Every new patient gets the same thorough starting point. We test your spine three ways:
Alignment
Posture checks, balance scales, and eyes-closed stability testing to see how your body is carrying itself.
movement
Range of motion through your whole spine, plus how each segment moves on its own.
spinal Damage
Full-spine digital X-rays can show disc changes, arthritis, bone spurs, or old injuries that may have created a stress pattern.
For athletes, we pay close attention to side-to-side differences in strength, rotation, and balance, since those are often where injuries start.
From the side, your spine should have smooth, healthy curves. We measure yours and chart it against normal:
MildUp to 15% loss of curve
Moderate15–30% loss of curve
SevereMore than 30% loss of curve
Your PostureRay X-Ray Report shows you exactly where you stand, and we re-measure along the way so you can see progress, not just feel it.
How we help sports injuries
Depending on what your exam shows, your plan may include:
NeuFit (nervous system + fitness)
The Neubie helps us find the weak links behind your injury and retrain the right muscles to fire, so you recover faster and move better than before. Sessions are run by Dr. Alex and Coach Dev, a former pro baseball player.
Corrective Chiropractic Care
Adjustments that restore alignment and clear the nerve supply to the injured area, so it heals under better conditions.
Spinal Decompression
If your exam shows a potential disc injury, or if we visualize degeneration on X-ray, decompression on our Chattanooga Triton 6M traction table is used to gently create space and take pressure off the disc and nerves.

What to expect
Feeling better and being fully better aren’t the same thing. Most people notice changes early on. Truly stabilizing a spine that’s been out of alignment for years can take up to 6-12 months of consistency… That doesn’t mean 6-12 months to feel better, it just means that your body needs time to hold the correction so it doesn’t slide back.
Will it hurt? Changing a spine that hasn’t moved in years can feel like a workout at the beginning. If you feel it, it’s usually in the first couple of weeks, and we adapt our technique to what works best for you.
When to get emergency care: If you hit your head and feel confused, dizzy, or foggy, or you can’t bear weight or move a limb after an injury, get medical care first.
What our patients say
Five weeks ago, I tore my meniscus — a horizontal tear. Before the injury, I was pretty active: I trained in Jiujitsu, went to the gym regularly, biked, and ran. The first couple of weeks after the injury were pretty bleak. About three weeks in, I attempted a light jog, but I couldn’t even make it a quarter mile.
I saw Circadian Chiropractic just one week after the injury. Alex was confident he could help me make a full recovery — and I have to say, I’m honestly shocked.
This week, I even hit the mats again and sparred. No issues at all, aside from my knee popping a bit when I crouch really low (which still freaks me out a little, lol).
But seriously — zero issues with recovery today. I’ve been putting in the work: went to the gym this morning, biked over 6.5 miles on the highest gears, then ran a 5K this evening just 30 seconds off my pre injury time. It felt like I did nothing.
I’m truly amazed. The machine they use and the alignment work were absolute game changers.
